The Samahan Laban sa Pekeng Gamot (Coalition Against Fake Medicines) is a multi-sectoral group, from public and private sectors, that is committed to educate the public about the proliferation and dangers of fake medicines.
The coalition continues to implement various communication campaigns with the goal to increase awareness and promote vigilance among the public towards fake medicines. Its programs and activities call for action among concerned stakeholders to protect the welfare of the Filipino patients from the harmful effects of fake medicines.
The coalition is made up of top industry players: Pfizer, Janssen, Mercury Drug, Watson’s, Zuellig, DSAP, MedExpress, PPhA, PMA, and media partners, GMA-7 and Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Pascual was formally welcomed by the coalition in its last meeting held at the Ascott Hotel last December. Pascuallab was represented by Mr. Obet Bautista, VP-Pharmacare, Mr. Raul B. Auxillian and Mr. Ian Segovia.
